When I hand built the Cheshire Brewhouse from scratch. I already had an engineering background and as a qualified engineer, with over a decade of experience working in the food and beverage industry. I also had more than 5 years experience working as a lead engineer for Molson Coors, at their Burton-On-Trent brewery. There, I learned from a range of very experienced brewers and decided to cut my own path, setting up the Cheshire Brewhouse, the rest is history.
There isn't much I can't help you with as far as brewing and brewery equipment goes. As an independent consultant. I'm small enough to react to your needs, and provide you with a personalised service.

Shane Swindells founded Big S Brewery & Engineering Services in 2022, following an expansive career in the UK food & brewing industry. He is best known as the owner of the Cheshire Brewhouse, which closed in 2022.
As an ex-brewery owner, he understands the challenges of running, and operating a brewery in the UK.

Shane opened The Cheshire Brewhouse, in Congleton, Cheshire in 2012. He ran the brewery for 10 years before selling up and moving on. During those 10 years, he made quite a noise in the UK's vibrant Craft Brewing Scene.
Shane won many prestigious awards for his The Cheshire Brewhouse beer's, maintaining his ethos of quality at the forefront of everything.
